The “Ceramic Days” event, organised each year by Cerame-Unie, will take place on 21st and 22nd November in Brussels.
As part of this event, a public conference will be held on Wednesday 22nd November between 10am and 1pm, which will focus on research and innovation in the ceramics sector at a European level.
The goal of this will be to show the progress made in recent years through HORIZON 2020, a European Union project geared towards research and innovation, and to discuss what is currently standing in the way of further cooperation in this high-potential sector, which is still largely made up of SMEs.
The conference will be hosted by Peter Woodward and will explore the subject in greater detail, focusing on energy efficiency, digitisation and advanced technology.
Richard Gaignon, President of the EUTECER (European technical ceramics federation), a member of the SICT and director of 3D CERAM, will also make a contribution at this event.
